TRAVEL PHOTOS

Apo island so far had been the best place I spent our holiday. The island is truly a paradise. In spite of how fast technology are advancing today, this little island in central Philippines still keep its old simplicity. No electricity but only from 6:00 PM till 9:00PM.

Although it sounds a bit primitive, Kan Upi cove does its best to serve the guests with comfortable amenities. The cottages are spacious and the food is fine.  The cook will be happy to serve you whatever they can offer.

The island is actually only very good for diving. It is about 30 minutes from the mainland Dumaguete with a small boat

The 11 dive sites in Apo Island

Mamsa Point : school of Jacks and Barracudas but with strong current

Chapel Point: A small cave of about 20 m. Here I have seen turtles and in this site are plenty of corals

Coconut Point: Very strong current

Rock Point: A great site where you can spot  manta ray but has an unpredictable strong current. Advise to dive in the morning.

The Sanctuary: This is the clown fish city. To dive here you have to pay extra and there are limits to how many people can div each day.

Cogon : Lots of fish

Kan Uran: Good for deep dives

Olo Point : only for advance divers. Very strong current. Patrol are for sharks

Largahan:  Turtles and snakes are very common here

Boluerte: volcanic rocks and sponges
