Central America is composed of
seven tiny nations strung out together by a slither of land that binds the
two great continents of North and South America. People call it the Banana
Republics
It has it's own beauty, a
complex network of historical and cultural diversities. Take the
Mayas, Incas and the Kunas. In the big cities the version of modern
culture moves to the rhythm of salsa, while deep in the forests species of
birds, beast and plants live besides local animals that are found no where
else in the world.
It is the land of great
subtlety and tremendous beauty. Take Costa Rica for example, most people
call it the Switzerland of Central America. The purple peaks of Guatemalan
volcanoes and massive crater lakes nestle in rugged mountain ranges are
some awesome sight to see, including the rainforest of Belize and Costa
Rica.

Offshore the coastline in lined
with coral reefs for scuba divers like myself and hundreds of others.
Beneath the surface a kaleidoscopes of tropical fish are joined by sharks,
marlin and rays.
This is a place where I will
never forget...my son was born in Guatemala and in this place I have
learned a lot of lessons in life. |
