The Philippines is composed of 7,107 islands and islets. Many
of the large islands have high mountain passes alternated with narrow alluvial
valleys with irregular coastline lined with famous white sand. The islets are
commonly found along the coast line of the larger islands. This can be a flat
lowlands or a rocky hills. Such structures made the Philippines very famous for
its beautiful dive sites because below the surface of the lies hills and plains
covered with coral reefs. The country still has some of the best tropical
beaches in the world, many of them still deserted.
